Aerial wolf shoots

I just learned that Alaska is expanding its aerial wolf shoots and will allow 900 wolves to be slaughtered by trophy hunters and to keep elk populations "healthy". OUTRAGEOUS!

This doesn't make me angry so much as it makes me want to cry. I grew up in those mountains, heard those wolves howling, they're a part of me. I'm rendered speechless.

I know, it makes me angry and sad. How could anyone want to shoot a wolf? I just can't comprehend it. I wonder if these people (in office and the ones actually shooting) could look at this animal in the eye and have no remorse in shooting it in the head.
